The Mystery of the Sphinx

 

The Mystery of the Sphinx is made from a 1920's copy of a children's mystery novel found at a local second hand shop.

 

On the inside of the front cover there is a small note:

 

"To John,

 

With love and best wishes for a very happy Xmas

 

love Aunty Daisy and Uncle Jim

 

Xmas 1928”

 

This note made me wonder how many people had looked over the pages of this book over the years, because of this I decided to let the book look back at the readers. I have taken a series of portraits of people with this camera in their favourite place to read.
